Im very tired and a bit tender still but I am bouncing back. The stitches being out is SOOO very good.
And I find I sleep better since I have been going to gym. Usually I dont sleep terribly well so thats been a good bonus this week. My head hits the pillow and I am OUT to it.. Sleep is a good thing.

Hello sweetie...I have been thinking of you through these days...a bit anxious about what had transpired for you..ghastly to go through more surgery & the hideous lumbar puncture but at least there was a real reason things weren't improving. Bloody 2mm! "They fixed it" sound like very good words..LONG may that last. Rest well..best you can.

The sod cottage was lovely and eye opening. Trying to tell the kiddos thats how the early settlers in the area lived. I did take some pics inside but you can actually walk around. Will put them up tomorrow so you can see.

Well I'm delighted to see the sod cottage...thank you! What astonishing presence of mind to take pics at that hour of the morning!!! (middle of the night!!) No wonder you're exhausted. Hope that this week is working out more gently & that there are no urgent calls to ANYONE or trips to anywhere. Any kind of healing takes time so hopefully you're heading in the right direction for resolution & settling. I hate that kind of anxiety..the waiting & not sure what's going to happen next. Thanks so much for letting us know how you're doing. I've been worried about you..but figuring maybe something wasn't quite right in the shunt department. Very glad for you about the tummy bit but oooh the lumbar punctures. You are sooo brave!! I'm sure that some of those other symptoms will settle down again for you for you in a while. 4 x is a lot so no wonder!! Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one who just wanted to lie down & die somewhere. I have on going weirdo health stuff too...like my teeth have been hurting almost full time since last October & now it's that plus hayfever & sinus pain!! & then the pain moves around & sometimes it gets really bad & it's scary & I feel so lost & alone...but I am also trying to keep tabs on nourishing myself & learning more about all that & then just making little changes that I can keep up with. I am sure it's going to make a difference any time soon. And then of course I feel like I let myself down all the time because I keep flagging 'cos of my health & feeling like the rest of the world just passes me by & I'm a bit useless. I am also working on giving back other peoples crap 'cos I just don't need to carry it anymore. No, I didn't write that just to be all about me...so you would know that you are NOT alone in a strange land. Stuff in your head is so hard 'cos it's so close & you can't take a break from it eh. Hope you get some help from the neuro-surgeon..you could obviously do with a big chunk of reassurance right now. Love to you Catherine x0x0
